Make it your own, and it's delicious. I added beef to the spicy ramen and asked for extra kimchi. Mmm. Ambiance: it's in a food court, so choose your seat well, and your experience will vary. Very fast service. They were so nice, and they liked hearing how much I loved my bowl. They even gave me more kimchi.

This place is located in the basement level of the Westfield Mall along Market and 5th. I would always come here back when I was still living in SF for college, and the food always hit the spot. My favorite things to get were the bibimbap and eggplant and tofu -- unfortunately I didn't see the eggplant and tofu last I came, so I don't know if it was discontinued or not. I've also gotten their black bean noodles and it was very good. I didn't see that either so it might have been a limited item or discontinued too.

I came back here recently and got their pan seared salmon with japchae noodles and coconut juice. The salmon was juicy and the noodles had a nice umami. It was a bit slippery than other japchae I've eaten but still delicious nonetheless.

The staff offers samples of their dishes, they gave me a piece of the bbq chicken and it was delicious. The meal I got was the bibimbap(no egg because of the current shortage). The dish was flavorful & every bite carries a different flavor, ranging from salty & savory from the mushrooms to juicy soy beans. The dish was also very filling and price reasonable. They also have a meat option if you prefer bibimbap with meat, for an additional price.

This is a bit of a silly review but I find myself always returning to Sorabol when I'm visiting the Westfield mall because of how delicious their potstickers are. I've definitely tried more authentic dim sum places but there's just something about these potstickers that taste amazing. They have a doughier wrapper so I can see a lot of people not liking that but a chewy soft dough and crispy exterior is always what I look for, and they get it done perfectly every time.

Sorabol's main menu boasts premade Korean food, served hot plate style--kind of like a Korean fusion version of Panda Express. They feature sides like japchae (sweet potato glass noodles) and sesame broccoli. They have various banchan (side dish) toppings such as kimchi and bean sprouts. These items are actually surprisingly delicious and not too far off from their more traditional counterparts. Sure they are pre-prepared so perhaps not the freshest meal you can find around town but in a pinch, still very yummy and satisfying for a Korean craving. In general the bulgogi (marinated beef) and spicy pork dishes are pretty good. The only miss I think I've tried is their breaded shrimp--very soggy and oily.

They also have some made-to-order dishes such as soft tofu soup, noodles, and kimchi fried rice--I can't personally vouch for any of them as I've never bothered ordering but I've seen others order specific entrees and they didn't look too bad!

But my 5 stars is exclusively for the scrumptious potstickers lol.  They are technically part of the premade options but if you ask nicely they (or just want a quantity higher than what's visibly available), they'll pan-fry a fresh batch up for you; just be mindful of your time, as there's usually a 5-10 minute wait for the fresh potstickers.

They are definitely best when fresh, piping hot and crispy but not overly greasy since they aren't deep-fried.

The dipping sauce and kimchi on the side is free so make sure to request it! The sauce is a bit on the sweeter side (could definitely use more vinegar and spice) but eaten with the kimchi, this appetizer is my absolute fav.

Service can be a little hit or miss but they are a fast food joint so I don't hold it against them.

They also have a Metreon location just a few blocks away. But I like the mall because Bake Tarts is right next door, which you should check out for dessert!

Good mall food court food. I usually have the short ribs with 1/2 rice and 1/2 glass noodles and 2 small sides of fermented veggies.  Good food. Kind of pricy for mall food but worth it and everything these days is expensive.
